The look of a furious Canadian citizen brandishing a knife in the streets of Bali

Jakarta

A Canadian citizen named Mohamed Reda Della caused trouble at a restaurant in Badung, Bali. Reda, who was drunk, brandished a knife while getting angry because his ATM card was lost.

Reported detikBali, Monday (12/6/2023), the incident occurred on Friday (9/6) evening. Badung Police Chief AKBP Teguh Priyo Wasono said Reda was angry because he thought someone had taken his bank card.

“Because the ATM was missing in one of the entertainment venues, the person concerned was angry. He saw a lot of people, he was scared, as if he thought someone had taken it, so he got angry,” Teguh said.

According to Teguh, Reda did not commit this disturbing action because he had problems with other people. He said Reda felt threatened and pulled out a knife in front of several people.

β€œHe collected the evidence in the villa where he lived. He took it with him, put it under the seat of the motorcycle just in case, to protect himself,” Teguh explained.

Reda admitted that the knife he wielded when he was drunk was just a toy knife. After the incident, he threw it away.

Despite this, Reda was suspected of violating public order. Teguh said Reda was handed over to immigration to be deported in the near future.
