European Council says G20 Sherpa-level meeting produces positive deal

TEMPO.CO, Nusa Dua -European Council President Charles Michel announces Sherpa meeting ahead of summit G20 show positive results. Discussions on G20 strategic issues at Ministerial and Deputy level will be addressed at a Heads of State Summit meeting this morning, Tuesday 15 November 2022.

“Regarding the communiqué, the agreement at the Sherpa level yesterday afternoon resulted in something positive,” Michel said in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Tuesday morning (November 15).

Sherpa tracks Indonesia’s G20 Presidency includes 12 workgroups and ten engagement groups. Previously, the signal would fail to tune or statement from leaders reinforced both at Sherpa level and at the G20 summit.

This morning the G20 Summit will take place in Apurva, Nusa Dua, Bali. As the G20 Presidency, Indonesia will push for agreements on strategic issues such as energy transition, digital transformation and health architecture.

A number of leaders of G20 member countries and their delegations. President Joko Widodo aka Jokowi welcomed the state officials. During this summit, 17 heads of state will be present in person in Bali.
