TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) appreciates the hard work of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the TNI as they are considered to have been successful in maintaining security during the implementation. G20 Summit in Bali.

He said hosting the G20 was Indonesia’s pride. Therefore, from the beginning, the BNPT as well as all components of the nation have declared themselves ready to support and succeed the presidency of the G20 in 2022.
Boy said that prior to the G20 summit activities, BNPT conducted stock mitigation training terrorism integrative, coordination of security systems in premises G20 Summit and National Security Preparedness with Law Enforcement Officials in the Context of Terrorism Prevention.

The collaboration between these different agencies did not stop at the G20 summit. Cooperation in the prevention of radicalism and terrorism with other institutions will continue to be strengthened.
The former Papuan police chief believes this needs special attention as the transnational ideology always tries to target Indonesia’s younger generation, which is not in line with the character of the nation.
“Together, we must continue to guard against and prevent the development of inappropriate ideologies that are contrary to the identity of the Indonesian nation,” Boy Rafli continued.
One of the terrorism prevention programs carried out by the BNPT is to increase the frequency of coordination with law enforcement officials and local governments, as well as to strengthen the role of the community in preventing acts of terrorism.
“BNPT coordinate security forces, including local government, increase the frequency of coordination and strengthen community support,” he said.
