The reason for this is that there are several well-known names that are not included in this top line of singers, such as Janet Jackson, Tony Bennett, Madonna, and Nat King Cole.
Even the famous Canadian diva with the powerful voice, Celine Dion not included in the list.
A number of the legendary names above are inferior to several young musicians such as Jung Kook BTS, IU, Lana Del Rey and Ariana Grande whose careers are considered uncomparable.
“This new list has been compiled by our staff and key contributors, and spans 100 years of pop music as an ongoing global conversation,” Rolling Stone wrote.

Musicians for the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time were selected based on criteria such as originality, influence, depth of the artist’s catalog and breadth of musical heritage.
Social media is now buzzing with criticism and debate over the order of musicians and names to be included in the list.
For example, Michael Jackson, who was only in position 86, lost to Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
Apart from that, there is also a debate about some young musicians who should be included in the list such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Pink and Jennifer Hudson.
The last mentioned name even managed to set a separate record by winning Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tony Awards all at the same time, making him a bit of an EGOT winning singer.
