“I started this tour excited to finally be able to get back to playing live after a long hiatus due to the pandemic, but the truth is that I was completely unprepared for how difficult the tour would be after this shift.“, wrote the ex-boyfriend of Camila Cabello.

Shawn Mendes said after discussions with his team and medical professionals regarding his condition, it was decided the 23-year-old singer needed more rest. “I need to take time that I never take personally, focus on myself and come back stronger” he wrote. “We were hoping to be able to get back to the rest of the program after a well deserved break, but right now I have to put my health first..”

This Canadian-born man pointed out that this condition did not prevent him from making many songs. Shawn Mendes said he looks forward to seeing his fans on tour in the future.

“I know you’ve all waited so long to see this show, and it breaks my heart to tell you, but I promise to come back as soon as I’ve had time to heal. I love you all and thank you so much for supporting me and staying with me on this journey.“, he wrote, ending with a heart emoji.
