“So a total of about 13 helicopters,” said the former army chief of staff (Kasad) while adding that the Indonesian air force was also preparing two Hercules planes.

A Hercules aircraft is used specifically for medical purposes because it is “tuned” in such a way that it has facilities to evacuate patients whose conditions, for example, are urgent. And special Hercules transport if needed.

“We have also prepared a Boeing VIP plane if necessary as a complement. Then there are also two Boeing planes whose function is surveillance,” Andika said.

Not only that, he said, the TNI has also prepared 19 airbases which will be used in the implementation of the G20 summit.

“So it’s easy if you look at a map of Indonesian airbases in Sumatra except for Aceh, then Java, Bali, Lombok and Kalimantan (Banjarmasin and Balikpapan). That’s a total of 19 airbases and one port. That’s so is what we prepared,” Andika said.
