JAKARTA – The agitation ahead of the fast-approaching 2024 elections is not only happening within the country. Indonesian diaspora in the United States, it turns out that they had already taken measures, long before Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD officially become presidential and vice-presidential candidates (capres-cawapres) 2024.

The diaspora community in the United States, USA for Ganjar-Mahfud, formerly known as USA for Ganjar Pranowo, has even been created since June 2021. This community is the largest and most active consolidation movement in the diaspora supporting Ganjar-Mahfud in the United States. States. USA for Ganjar-Mahfud has collectively organized more than 50 activities, both in the United States and Indonesia.

The consolidation of the United States for Ganjar-Mahfud movement was also responsible for the birth of the Warung D3mocracy which collaborated with other Ganjar-Mahfud supporting communities in touring activities in various cities on five continents, namely Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and the United States. They socialized the figure of Ganjar-Mahfud and the couple of candidates number 3 of the “21 flagship programs”.

Ahead of the 2024 elections, the USA for Ganjar-Mahfud Network produced a special video representing the voices of Indonesian diaspora representatives in the United States and Canada in 42 cities. Through this video, the Indonesian diaspora in the United States and Canada showed their strong support for Ganjar-Mahfud in the 2024 presidential election.
