The Comic Celeste Barber Backup Dancer Tour in the United States and Canada

Celeste Barber is heading to North America. The multihyphenate, dubbed Australia’s ‘Queen of Comedy’, announced this morning that she will be hitting the road in May with the Backup Dancer Tour across the US and Canada.

Produced by Live Nation, the 20-plus city tour will kick off with a performance at the Netflix Is a Joke Comedy Festival at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on May 2. She will continue her dates through June with stops in New York, Boston, Seattle, Atlanta, Toronto, Las Vegas, Austin, Texas and more. The tour will conclude in Chicago at the Athenaeum Center on June 21. “Coming to hot America,” Barber teased today on Instagram, where she has more than 10 million followers.

This release represents Barber’s third international tour and second American tour. Its previous series, Celeste Barber: Fine,Thanks, produced a special filmed at the Sydney Opera House which aired on Netflix last year. She also presented a one-woman show, Celeste Barber Challenge Accepted!, which premiered in Sydney in June 2017. Her New York show at the Gramercy was recorded for her first Showtime special before following up with a premiere sold out season in the UK and Europe.
