SOMEBODY questioned Rishi Sunak not from the contents of his brain. But its size: 1.7 meters. Sunak turned out to be the shortest prime minister in British history.
Then a photo was posted there on social media: when he took a photo with other politicians. He was holding a red bag. He is really the shortest.
Try to help Sunak look taller.
The answer is funny. “Why not wear shoes with slightly higher heels. Just 0.5cm. He already looks like Boris Johnson,” the social media replied.
“Why can’t the bag he’s holding be used as a support?” said another.
There are also those who question Sunak more seriously and emotionally. It came from the former prime minister of India, Manmohan Singh. He wondered why the new British Prime Minister was so revered in India. In fact, he was born in England. His mother was born in Tanzania. Her father was born in Kenya. He never held an Indian passport. “He knows how to eat beef,” he wrote on his Twitter. And now he works for the King of England, the colonizer of India.
From the UK itself, the question for Sunak is very serious: why did he decide not to attend the COP27 summit. He was deceived by her decision.
The British really love the environment. The COP27 summit next week is a continuation of the Glasgow summit. Heads of State discussed climate change there. Sunak’s absence is seen as an embarrassment to the UK: it is seen as not fully supporting the global emissions reduction agenda.
COP27 was held in Egypt’s main tourist area: Sharm El Sheikh. Namely on the Red Sea coast, at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. It’s across the narrow sea from the new city of Neom, which will be touted as Saudi Arabia’s global tourist city in the future.
Sunak has a good reason: the British economy is in dire straits. And again, he sent the Minister of the Environment to represent him.
There’s another environmental issue that’s also hot in the UK: fracking. Sunak’s position is clear: rectify the policy of Prime Minister Liz Truss, whom he replaced.
Liz knows that the British are against fracking. But he enabled the fracking effort. Strength. This is the only way to overcome dependence on Russian energy sources.
UK domestic oil and gas production only meets 45% of demand. Following the Russian attack on Ukraine, the gas supply was hampered. UK energy prices are soaring.
The UK actually has gas reserves in its rocks. Hughes. More than 100 trillion MMBTU. If only 10% of it could be sucked out, that would be enough to be energy independent for 50 years.
The suction technique is difficult. Dear. But it is possible. America has done it successfully. For 10-15 years. Also Canada. Use the fracturing technique.
This is what the British oppose. Considered harmful to the environment. The rock under the ground must be cracked. To get the gas out. Then sucked up and dispensed.
How to crack it using very high water pressure. Accompanied by sand. The function of the sand: to prevent the cracks from returning to the cat. To evacuate the gas from the rocks.
The water pressure is so strong that the surrounding land surface vibrates. The vibration was actually very weak. It cannot be felt by humans on it. But still considered dangerous for the earth.
Never mind the fracking. Disway’s friends in London describe the dismay of many Britons at the appearance of wind turbine pylons. It is considered to disturb natural beauty.
Friend Disway reminded me of my trip to the outskirts of England. In villages and small towns. Oxford. Bath. Cambridge. New castle. Glasgow. Edinburgh. Everywhere.
“Nature is very beautiful and peaceful, isn’t it? Very natural, right? said Friend Disway. Such beauty must be eternal. Cannot be damaged. Even by the arrival of the poles of the wind dancers who are monotonous.
Perhaps they will accept that the blades move like disco people and the poles twist like ballet women.
The people who live in these areas are huge. Each election determines their vote.
Sunak said firmly: will not allow hydraulic fracturing. Even those who have already been authorized cannot work. The local population boycotted it.
The areas that contain the most rock gas are in the center and north. South too. Especially from Liverpool on the west coast. Then to the east: Manchester. Still to the east: Leed. Continue to the east coast. The area looks like a huge gas rock belt. Mr. Mirza knows the name of the gas that comes out of the rocks.
After all, Sunak is still criticized for not wanting to go to Egypt. Even its size is in question. He is indeed slightly shorter than the average British male: 175cm. But it could be that shorter people are smarter: their feet and their brains are closer together.
So I agree with the social media content trying to cheer up Rishi Sunak. He sent a photo of Vladimir Putin standing next to former German leader Angela Merkel. They are exactly the same height. Putin’s height data is kept secret. But Merkel’s height data is open to the public: 165 cm.
So on social media there is a suggestion for Sunak. No need to wear high heels. Also, it is not necessary to stand with a wedge. It’s quite simple: often stand next to Putin. (Dahlan Iskan)
