Stung by Quick Goal, Croatia sweep Canada 4-1

Croatia beat canada in action game day second World Cup 2022 which took place at the Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan, on Sunday (27/11) evening.

The match lasted just 68 seconds, Alphonso Davies scored a goal that put Canada ahead 1-0. The fastest goal of the 2022 World Cup was the result of a quick Canadian attack. Davies scored after receiving a pass from Tajon Buchanan.

The goal rocked Croatia who then reacted by trying to play more aggressively. A cross from Andrej Kramaric was still secured by Milan goalkeeper Borjan near the crossbar.

Croatia tried to control the ball in hopes of scoring the equaliser. Canada, which seems confident, can play well in defense and keep trying to add goals.

In the 26th minute, Andrej Kramaric put the ball in the Canadian goal, but the referee canceled the goal for offside.

Another chance for Croatia came in the 36th minute when Marko Livaja tried to complete a pass inside the penalty area. Borjan again made a save that secured the Canadian goal.

Just a minute later, Kramaric scored a goal that made it 1-1. Kramaric did not lose the lure of Ivan Perisic in the 16th box.

Croatia even took the lead in the 44th minute thanks to Marko Livaja’s goal from outside the penalty area after receiving a pass from Josip Juranovic.

Canada opened the second half with a chance from Jonathan Osorio. The ball that was kicked was still narrowly targeted from the Croatian goal.

Attacks reflect attacks. Croatia did not remain silent to add goals. Kramaric tried to pass Luka Modric’s bait but Borjan made a crucial save in the 55th minute.

A minute later Jonathan David had a chance and goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic’s shot kept Croatia in front.

In the 70th minute, Croatia changed the score to 3-1. Kramaric scored the game’s second goal. Perisic’s cross was well controlled by Kramaric. No less good than the way he held the ball, Kramaric also completed a great chance for the ball to enter the Canadian goal.

Croatia’s opportunity to extend the position in the 78th minute from Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic was thwarted by Borjan.

Going into added time, Croatia added a goal. Kamal Miller’s error was used by Mislav Orsic to dribble into the penalty area and then fed Lovro Majer who scored to make it 4-1 and lasted until the end of the match.
