Recently, TikTok social media has also been filled with videos of Son Suk Ku from the Korean drama My Liberation Notes. Even though he doesn’t speak much, his character Mr. Gu shows his concern through his actions.

One of the scenes highlighted by Son Suk Ku and Kim Ji Won is when Mr. Gu waits for Yeom Mi Jung outside his office. He asked her to go to lunch because he had just received his salary.

Like what Son Suk Ku in real life? The 39-year-old actor turns out to be not much different from Mr. Gu. One day, he prepared a surprise for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, although it didn’t go as planned.

He said this when he was a guest on SBS TV show, My Little Old Boy.

“When I lived in Canada, I had a boyfriend and it was Valentine’s Day. I saw a photo of a really cool restaurant on an island that you had to take a boat to get to, and I loved it. I decided to take him there based on the photo I saw,” said Son Suk My.

“So we took a boat to the island, but once we got there the island was completely dark, so we had to get on a boat and go home. That’s when “That’s when I realized dating wasn’t easy,” he continued.

Throughout his career, Son Suk Ku was rumored to have dated his co-star on two occasions. Due to their closeness to Bae Doona, the two were suspected of having a romantic relationship after being paired together on the second season of Sense8. However, this news was immediately denied by Son Suk Ku and Bae Doona’s agency, SDB Entertainment in 2018.

Last year, Son Suk Ku was also reportedly dating Lee Seol, who had a cameo role in the Netflix-directed Korean drama DP. The agency also denied these rumors and emphasized that the actor’s relationship with Lee Seol was limited to seniors and juniors.
