Sail Tidore 2022, KM Tatamailau will be used as a floating hotel

TEMPO.CO, Dull – Directorate of Maritime Transport of the Ministry of Transport (Ministry of transportation) prepare KM Tatamailau as a floating hotel to support and successfully implement Veil Tidore 2022 in Tidore City, North Maluku which will be held from 24th to 29th November 2022.

“The floating hotel is an accommodation support for the smooth and successful implementation of Sail Tidore 2022,” said the director of traffic and transport of the Ministry of Transport, Capt. Hendri Ginting quoted in an official press release, Friday November 25, 2022.

He explained that KM Tatamailau would be used as accommodation for participants for guests, general public visitors, police officers, TNIs, drivers shuttle bus. Not only that, there are also rooms that can be used by VIP guests if they want to use the facilities of this floating hotel.

Thousands of people are accommodated in floating hotels

KM Tatamailau is capable of accommodating 1,000 people consisting of IA class cabins totaling 7 rooms and each room can be filled with 2 people or a total of 14 people, IB class cabin has 10 rooms and each can be filled with 4 people with a total of 40 people and the economy class amounted to 946 people.

The number of facilities available on the ship which is a collaboration between the Ministry of Transport and PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) includes the ship’s restaurant, prayer room, cafeteria, restrooms and a convenience store. Around the Port of Soasio there are also MSMEs selling food so that passengers are not confused when they want to buy food.
