The name of the Curaçao national team seems foreign to football fans in Indonesia. But make no mistake, Remko Bicentini’s side have the quality of a world team.
According to the FIFA rankings, Curacao currently occupies the 84th place in the world in the FIFA rankings as of August 25, 2022. This Caribbean island country has collected 1293.35 points. Curacao’s position is still better than a number of Asian countries that often trouble Indonesia, such as Bahrain, Jordan and Syria.
The difference between the position of the Indonesian national team and that of Curaçao is very big. Garuda’s team currently sits in the 155th position in the FIFA rankings with 1019.19 points, which is 71 positions adrift of Curacao.
