“Noisy” with Canada, China firmly threatens

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Chinese Foreign Ministry has warned Canada that the country’s provocations will have serious consequences.

This follows accusations by Canada that Chinese fighter jets are interfering with patrol planes monitoring North Korean sanctions.

“The UN Security Council has never authorized any country to exercise military surveillance over the seas and airspace of other countries in the name of sanctions enforcement,” the spokesman said. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Lijian. ReutersMonday (6/6/2022).

On the other hand, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last week that Canada is an active member of an “important mission” in the North Pacific to ensure that sanctions against North Korea are properly implemented.

Wu Qian, spokesperson for China’s defense ministry, said the Chinese military was taking reasonable steps to deal with Canada’s actions and had made “serious representations” through diplomatic channels. According to him, Canada’s “action” is classified as endangering the security of his country.

Earlier, the Canadian military accused Chinese air force pilots of behaving unprofessionally and unsafely during their recent encounter in international airspace.
