The Public Services Assistant at the Department of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) visited the US Customs and Border Protection – Rainbow Bridge in Buffalo, New York, USA on Wednesday (11/09). The visit was made to see services at the Canada-US border.
Diah said the use of information technology in border services between countries would make it easier for the public, just as US CBP has done for citizens of the United States and Canada who have crossed, to both from the United States to Canada and vice versa. US CBP also has the ROAM (Reporting Offsite Arrival Mobile) innovation, which is an innovative remote inspection application available to ship users while docked.
US CBP at Rainbow Bridge, Niagara Falls serves nearly 5,000 people annually with vehicular and pedestrian services. Operating 7 days a week, US CBP takes a comprehensive approach to border management and control, combining customs, immigration, border security and agricultural protection.
Also present at the event were Assistant Deputy Minister for Digital Transformation of the PANRB Ministry of Public Services Yanuar Ahmad, representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Anggie Jennie, CBPO Chief Kevin Corsaro , CBPO Supervisor Brad Kiszewski, CBPO Supervisor Philip Young, SPM/PAL Giorgio Fuda and Thomas Rusert, Assistant Port Rainbow Bridge Area Manager.
