Manado, BeritaManado.com — The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Toronto once again organized the Indonesian Food Festival (IFF) at Yonge-Dundas Square last Saturday (29/8/2023).
The Indonesian Food Festival brought together 15 vendors, including 13 food and drink vendors from various Toronto Indonesian restaurants and food stalls as well as 2 Indonesian craft vendors.
Coreta Indonesia is one of the suppliers imported specifically from Indonesia.
In addition to enjoying typical Indonesian culinary delights, around 5,000 visitors who attended the festival were also enthusiastic spectators who witnessed various artistic and cultural performances presented by 24 artists from the Indonesian community and diaspora.
In his opening speech, Indonesian Consul General in Toronto Dyah Lestari Asmarani said IFF 2023 was organized with the aim of “bringing” Indonesia into Canadian society.
“So Canadians can get to know Indonesia better,” Dyah said.
Coreta Indonesia is a special seller imported from Indonesia that features highly demanded batik and weavings.
One of the pieces on display is Coreta Louise’s typical batik with Bunaken motifs from North Sulawesi, which was presented some time ago at New York Fashion Week.
Within a day, Coreta Indonesia’s sales immediately became a success as Indonesians in Canada and other foreign communities were very excited about Indonesian batik and weaving.
