Jakarta, CNNIIndonesia —
Egypt, who failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, are the last trial opponents for Belgium as final preparation before taking part in Qatar’s biggest football tournament.
Belgium played Egypt at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on Friday (11/18) evening.
In this match, Egypt managed to open the scoring in the 33rd minute thanks to the goal of Mostafa Mohamed after taking advantage of a blunder by a Belgian player.
Egypt kicked things off immediately early in the second half with a 46th-minute goal through Mahmoud Hassan or a player nicknamed Trezeguet after chasing Mohamed Salah’s pass.
Belgium then managed to reduce the deficit to 1-2 thanks to Lois Openda’s goal in the 76th minute after following Carrasco’s pass.
Until the end of the game, no additional objectives have been created. Belgium lost 1-2 against Egypt.
This result is clearly a record for Belgian coach Roberto Martinez before taking part in the 2022 World Cup.
Belgium are in Group F with Canada, Morocco and Croatia. Belgium will face Canada on November 23, then face Morocco on November 27 and finally face Croatia on December 1.
