Drake becomes Backstreet Boys’ ‘sixth member’ on Canadian show

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TORONTO — rapper Drake joins the stage for a vocal group performance street boys at Budweiser Stage, Toronto, Canada, Saturday (2/7/2022) evening. Backstreet Boys, the show’s owner, even featured Duck as their “sixth member”.

Fan excitement erupted after Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson called in a surprise special guest for the evening’s performance. Drake was also present, then performed “I Want It That Way” with the Backstreet Boys.

“Toronto, I want you to sing this song as loud as you can. It’s one of the greatest songs in music history. I’m on stage for this, I’ll try to sing too,” said Drake to the crowd.

rapper The 35-year-old uploaded a 10-second clip of himself singing the 90s classic “I Want It That Way” with the Backstreet Boys on instagram. Videos with longer durations are shared with Twitter Official of the Backstreet Boys. There’s also a moment where Dorough sings a few lines from Drake’s hit, “Hold On, We’re Going Home.”
