Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen came out on top Formula 1 (F1) Canadian Grand Prix (GP) 2022.
Verstappen managed to finish top of the 2022 Canadian F1 GP race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, on Monday (20/6) in the early morning WIB, followed by Sainz second and Hamilton on the third podium.
After the start of the race, Max Verstappen immediately took the lead, followed by BWT Alpine F1 Team driver Fernando Alonso in second place.
Then Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team driver Lewis Hamilton followed from third and fourth.
Then on lap three, Sainz managed to pass Alonso to secure second position.
Even Sainz was able to reclaim the leading position by displacing Verstappen when he entered the pit stop on lap 12. While second position was occupied by Alonso and Verstappen dropped to third position.
[Gambas:Video CNN]However, on lap 16 Verstappen managed to move up to second by displacing Alonso. Even on lap 21, Verstappen was able to move back into first position followed by Alonso and Sainz, and Hamilton in fourth.
On lap 24, Hamilton managed to push into third by displacing Alonso.
Then on lap 44, Sainz had time to shift Verstappen in first position followed by Hamilton in second position.
But on lap 45 Verstappen was able to reclaim second when Hamilton entered the pit stop. Even on lap 51, Verstappen was able to take the lead from Sainz, who had to pass second and Hamilton third.
Until the last lap, Verstappen was still able to maintain his leading position and won the 2022 Canadian F1 GP followed by Sainz in second and Hamilton in third.
