Second or last suspect in action mass stabbing in Canadadied after being arrested Wednesday (7/9) local time.
News agency report AFPOn Thursday (8/9/2022), several television stations and newspapers, citing unnamed police sources, announced the death of 32-year-old Myles Sanderson, without providing details of his whereabouts.
Previously, the police Canada said Sanderson was “found and taken into custody … at approximately 3:30 p.m. today”. “There is no longer a public safety risk associated with this investigation,” police said.
An hour before Sanderson’s arrest, police issued a warning about a knife-wielding man, leading him to be linked to a stabbing attack. The police also called on residents to take refuge in their homes.
Sanderson’s arrest ends a four-day hunt in the Prairie region mass stabbing last Sunday (4/9). He and his younger brother, Damien Sanderson, 31, are believed to be responsible for the murder.
Earlier Monday (5/9), police found the body of Damien Sanderson in a grassy field in the Cree community. Police say he may have been killed by his older brother, Myles Sanderson, 32.
Reported AFP, On Monday (5/9), the mass stabbings took place at 13 locations in the James Smith community of Cree Nation and Weldon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Of the 13 locations, 10 people were reported to have been killed.
