ONE Championship has announced a partnership with Lumpinee Stadium, a legendary arena and competition in Thailand. Through this partnership, ONE is committed to bringing the sport of Muay Thai to the highest level through ONE Lumpinee.

The Lumpinee Stadium is a venue for competition for prestige as well as a candradimuka crater for athletes in the “Art of Eight Legs”. Those who won world titles at Lumpinee Stadium will be remembered as one of the best Muay Thai fighters of their generation.

Today, there are already many Lumpinee Stadium champions competing in ONE. Call him Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, Rodtang Jitmuangnon to Superbon Singha Mawyn.

This cooperation is also directly supported by the Royal Thai Army. During the signing ceremony attended by ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong and Lumpinee Stadium representatives, big news regarding ONE Championship and Thailand was also announced.

1. ONE is preparing a $100 million investment to develop the Muay Thai ecosystem

Through this strategic partnership, Chatri Sityodtong underscores ONE Championship’s commitment to advancing the sport of Muay Thai around the world. An investment fund of $100 million or the equivalent of Rs 1.4 trillion is ready to be disbursed to advance this Thai national sport.

“The investment will be used for a variety of things, such as event organization, marketing, athlete salaries and medical expenses, and other needs,” he said in a statement on Tuesday. (13/9).

Chatri also guarantees that Thai fighters who compete under the ONE Championship banner will become the highest paid Muay Thai athletes.

2. Road To ONE present in dozens of countries

Not only about Muay Thai, Chatri also announced the Road to ONE event which will be held in 13 countries around the world. The goal is to select the best martial artists to perform on ONE’s global stage.

To support this, strategic cooperation with a number of major promoters around the world is underway. Currently, the best talent search event is confirmed in the United States, Canada, England, Germany, South Africa, Mongolia, China, Russia, Japan, Philippines, Australia and Thailand .

Road to ONE will continue to grow and will be held in several more countries.

3. Lumpinee Stadium hosts 52 events in Thailand

As the most prestigious Muay Thai stage in the world, ONE will host approximately 52 events at Lumpinee Stadium, starting in January 2023.

According to Chatri, the ONE Lumpinee event will take place every Friday night at Bangkok time and will feature hard action from Muay Thai, MMA, kick boxing until submission hold.

“Of course, this event can be watched in 154 countries around the world through cooperation with a number of strategic broadcast partners,” he said.

4. ONE returns to Bangkok with ONE Fight Night 6

In the ONE Lumpinee series, the world’s largest martial arts organization has also announced that it will return to Bangkok via ONE Fight Night 6 to be held on January 14, 2023.

The big event to be held at Impact Arena Bangkok will feature a match between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen. Interestingly, the match will be played under hybrid MMA – Muay Thai rules.

Additionally, ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and legend Nong-O Gaiyanghadao are also set to compete.
