The Canadian tennis player didn’t experience much drama when she crushed British tennis player Harriet Dart 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of the Thailand Open.
The 2019 US Open champion appeared more consistent after winning 56% of points on serve and 56.1% of points on return of serve.
The world number 42 served two aces, better than Dart who hit no aces. He also only committed one double violation, while the Englishman committed five double violations.
Both tennis players struggled with break point opportunities. The top seed saved one of four break point chances, but he converted six of the eight he faced.
Thanks to this victory, Andreescu excelled in the head to head against the British tennis player, Dart with 3-1.

South Korean tennis player, Narae Han, who was waiting for Watson in the second round, won 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 over Romanian national Elena Gabriela Ruse.
