An-Noor Mosque in Canada Attacked by Unidentified Perpetrators

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ONTARIO — The an-Noor Mosque was recently attacked by unidentified people in the city of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Muslim Association of Newfoundland and Labrador leader Syed Mansoor Pirzada said a member of the mosque was shocked and shaken by the attack as he prayed inside the mosque Tuesday (3/15).

“The incident happened just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday night,” Pirzada said. Radio Canada, Saturday (19/3).

According to Pirzada, members of the mosque heard a loud bang from the side window of the mosque. “Obviously he was shocked and shaken, then he looked into the CCTV camera system and he saw three people approaching the front door,” Pirzada said on Friday (3/18).

“They (the three people) went to the dump and they took the garbage and threw it in front of the entrance,” he said.

Pirzada said the group was also filmed throwing eggs and liquid into the mosque before running towards Portugal Cove Road. “It was a very shocking incident for all of us,” Pirzada said.

Pirzada explained that the man inside the mosque at the time was terrified. The reason, previously also occurred two deadly events.
