Whitesky Group has signed a cooperation agreement with a Canadian company, Sinobec Trading Inc. to explore developing investment profiles airport managed by AP I.
CEO and Founder of Whitesky Group, Denon Prawiraatmadja, explained that this is a starting point, Whitesky Group together with Sinobec will conduct a study to create investment schemes in airports managed by PT AP I by offering better development or development than before. Starting with increasing the level of service, updating technology and such.
“The purpose of this collaboration is to reduce the operating costs of the airports managed by PT. AP I so that they can be more efficient and competitive in supporting the socio-economic activities of the Indonesian people. High operating costs at airports will impact airline ticket prices, which will also end up being burdened by potential passengers wishing to use air travel services,” Denon said in a press release on Monday. He explained that this investment collaboration would reduce costs incurred by airports that affect flight operators, so it could have an impact on reducing costs incurred by the community using airport services.
Denon also said that in this collaboration, in addition to being a mediator between PT AP I and Sinobec, the Whitesky group will also invest in the development of airports that will later cooperate. It is hoped that this will bring more benefits to all parties involved in the investment.
“To finalize this model of business cooperation, we will conduct a comparative study in Canada. As we all know, this country has a center for the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or commonly known as the Aviation Organization international civil society”, he explained. .
Previously, Whitesky Group and the Government of Canada had a good cooperation, where a collaboration was established between Whitesky Group and Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) to conduct a study on the development of a green airport in North Kalimantan (Kaltara ).
“As for the airports that will be cooperated, it is still under discussion and the selection of the airports that will be developed in this collaboration, to be more precise, will be announced by PT. AP I. However, what is clear, c is that there will be four locations with an expected total investment of around $600 or more,” he said.
