Eager to leave the entertainment world for the sake of their children’s education, Tengku Firmansyah and Cindy Fatikasari moved to Canada.

Independent from South Sumatra — A senior artist couple, Tengku Firmansyah and Cindy Fatikasari, made a major life decision by migrating to Canada. They left a career in the entertainment world that they had been involved in for over 20 years to raise their twin sons, Tengku Omar Atalla and Tengku Kianu Zimraan. This decision was made so that their children would not have to travel alone and could receive direct guidance from their parents.

The migration that took place on April 16, 2024 was not a sudden decision. Firman and Cindy prepared everything carefully, including obtaining permission to settle in Canada three years ago. Even if they have to leave the entertainment world in Indonesia, it is not a problem for them. They are ready to do other legal work, including odd jobs.

In an upload on his Instagram account, Tengku Firmansyah showed a photo of himself after work. In the photo, the 46-year-old man is wearing shorts and a gray t-shirt, looking tired but happy.

“With a tired face but happy to work casually in these shorts, waiting to be taken over by someone new,” he wrote.

Through the comments column, Firman answered netizens’ questions about his current job. He revealed that he works as a blacksmith. This father of three has received a lot of support from netizens for his new job. Even though he is far from the glamour of the entertainment world, Firman seems to enjoy his current job.

Cindy and Firman bought a new home in Edmonton, Alberta, near Vancouver, Canada. Since their move, many people have been curious about what their new place looks like. On May 5, 2024, Cindy Fatikasari uploaded several photos of the front of their home to her personal Instagram account. Although the house is not very big, it looks very cozy with two levels and a spacious balcony, perfect for relaxing with the family.

The construction of their house shows the presence of wooden ornaments that distract attention. The use of wood as the main material gives a fresh impression and suits the changing weather conditions of the four seasons in Canada. The balcony on the second floor can accommodate several people at a time, allowing Cindy and her friends to enjoy the beautiful view of Canada. Unlike life in Jakarta which is full of crowds, Cindy lives in a quiet and spacious residential area, conducive to exercise and fresh morning air.

Cindy revealed that even though she was new to Canada, she felt very comfortable. The natural beauty of Canada made her feel at home, even in the photos taken by Cindy, the beauty of the sky with its perfect rainbow was reflected. Even though it was still snowing when he first moved, Firman really enjoyed his first snow season. In a video he uploaded, Firman shows the atmosphere around his residence covered in snow.

Firman also shared the moment he wanted to have lunch with Indonesian instant noodles, Indomie Goreng. “Lunch,” he briefly wrote in a post on May 1, 2024, showing a pack of instant noodles sitting on a snow-covered table. The post received a lot of attention from netizens, who realized that even though he was far away in Canada, Firman still remembered Indonesian cuisine.

Since their move, Firman and Cindy have been adjusting to their new life in Canada. This big decision they made shows their dedication as parents to provide the best education for their children, even if they have to leave behind a successful career in the Indonesian entertainment world.(umi)
