While Xi Jinping complained about the Canadian Prime Minister, Jokowi disappeared from the G20 stage

The reason is that Xi Jinping complained to Trudeau because the content of the discussion regarding China’s interference in Canada’s internal affairs was leaked at the time of the G20 and was even published by the media.

Political observer Rocky Gerung also commented on the unique incident at the KKT G20 event in an interview with veteran journalist Hersubeno Arief, broadcast on his YouTube channel last Friday (11/18).

Rocky regrets that the Indonesian government cannot provide a private space for Canada and China to discuss the issues that have arisen.

“So actually Indonesia is not being very careful in preparing meeting rooms between them to do four-way eye contact,” Rocky was quoted as saying. RMOL political press agency, Saturday (11/19).

China and Canada, to the knowledge of this former philosophy professor at the University of Indonesia, have been experiencing tensions for 10 years, due to the issue of human rights violations in China and, more recently, of the use of intelligence in China that infiltrates via trade to invade Canadian politics.

“Actually, the G20 is being watched by all major powers to take advantage of it, because we are just event organizers, we never understand the high-level diplomatic game that America, Russia and China have prepared,” he said.

So he found that Xi Jinping’s angry incident with Tradeeau over the leak of diplomatic information actually harmed the Indonesian government, especially President Joko Widodo.

The reason is that he believes that the emergence of information about the problems between Canada and China should have been known first to the Indonesian government, so that Jokowi could discuss it at the G20 summit.

“It’s actually a mistake, the step was missed. President Jokowi should have come and continued to explain that there was a meeting between China and Canada with the aim of reducing tensions in Indo -Pacific. “Please ask each of them,” Rocky said as an example.

“It was Jokowi’s scene, as if he was the moderator. But that did not happen. So Mr. Jokowi lost another point in international diplomacy. What people will remember is that there was a mistake at the G20 when the Indonesian presidency was the host and this mistake is bad for international relations,” he said.
