Surabaya (beritajatim.com) – The Royal Canadian Navy warship, Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Montreal, paid a visit to Surabaya after sailing in the Indo-Pacific region as part of Operation PROJECTION from July 7 to 10 .
This visit is part of bilateral defense cooperation between Canada and Indonesia and aims to promote peace and stability in the region.

HMCS Montreal departed its home port of Halifax in March and is in the Indo-Pacific region as part of Canada’s increased commitments in its new Indo-Pacific strategy. Canada will invest in various initiatives to support defense and security in the region over the coming years, including increasing the number of warships deployed each year.
This investment aims to increase Canada’s presence and expand cooperation with countries aligned to promote peace, resilience and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
