Besides Lee ZIi Jia, another Malaysian men’s singles player, Ng Tze Yong also advanced to the second round when he overcame Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus of Denmark 21-7, 21-14 to then meet Lakshya Sen of India. Sen previously knocked out Japan’s Kodai Naraoka 21-12, 21-11 in the first round.
