Check out the Falcon 7X and 8X Jets just arrived in Indonesia for TNI officials

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Jet aircraft type Dassault Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday (27/12/2022).

The two planes arrived after traveling for eight hours from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Previously, the two planes flew from France to Dubai on Monday (26/12/2022).

The arrival of the two aircraft was inaugurated by the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta on Wednesday (28/12/2022).

Prabowo said the two French-made planes were for command control (kodal) run by the TNI.

“Today we are proud there is an additional reinforcement for the Indonesian air force, two planes which we call kodal planes, command control,” Prabowo said last Wednesday.

“This is for leadership elements (so they can move quickly to perform their duties,” he said.

So what are the specs of the Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X?

As quoted by the Indonesian Air Force Information Service press release, both aircraft are jet aircraft types that have a number of advantages.

Among others, a long distance with an autonomy of 10.5 hours for the Falcon 7X and 12 hours for the Falcon 8X, with a maximum autonomy of 5,950 Nm and 6,450 Nm respectively.

Both aircraft are also capable landing on a short track.

The Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X are each powered by Canadian-made PW307A and PW307D engines and are capable of flying up to an altitude of 51,000 feet and a maximum operating speed of 370 knots/0.9 mach.

Later, the two planes became defense equipment which bolstered the strength of the 17th Air Squadron Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base.

Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X will later operate to service VIP/VVIP flights.

Both aircraft are capable of carrying a maximum of 14 passengers, plus three crew members such as the pilot, co-pilot and flight attendants.

Kompas.id report, Falcon 7X and Falcon 8x are aircraft manufactured by Dassault Aviation, in Bordeaux-Mérignac, France.

The Falcon 7X was manufactured in 2005 and is considered the best-selling Falcon and the world’s first private jet with digital technology. The success of the Falcon 7X was followed by the emergence of the Falcon 8X in 2015.
