Doha, Gatra.com – Croatia looked convincing when they met Canada in the Group F stage match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Luka Modric and his friends won 4-1 in the match which took place at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday (27/11) evening WIB.

This victory allowed Croatia to take the lead in the Group F standings with 4 points. Croatia is superior to Morocco, Belgium and Canada which are inferior to it. Croatia only need 1 point to secure a ticket to the Round of 16.
Despite a big win, Croatia were left behind after the game only lasted 2 minutes. Alphonso Davies immediately surprises by penetrating the opposing goal.
Croatia were only able to equalize in the 36th minute thanks to Andrej Kramaric’s goal. Croatia then closed the first half with a 2-1 advantage after Marko Livaja scored a goal in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Croatia continued to bombard the Canadian defence. But Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan impressed with a number of important saves.
Croatia were only able to escape in the 70th minute after Kramaric scored his second goal of the game.

Towards the end of the second half, Croatia eventually won 4-1 after Lovro Majer also burst into the Canadian goal on 90+4 minutes. This score could be maintained by Croatia until the end of the match.
Croatian coach Zlatko Dalic said his team showed capacity, strength and quality. However, this is only a small step on the team’s path.
“Against Belgium, we are not going to wait or play the game. Let’s repeat this performance, thus the unity that Croatia needs,” he said.
