Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport (Ministry of transportation), Adita Irawati, reported a total of 31 VVIP aircraft and delegates G20 arrived at Ngurah Rai airport from morning to evening on Monday (14/11/2022).

It was noted that on Monday (11/14/2022) the Head of State’s plane that arrived was Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s plane arrived at 11:46 a.m. WITA, Chinese President Xi Jinping’s plane arrived at 3:01 p.m. WITA, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s plane which arrived at 3:24 p.m. WITA.

Next, French President Emmanuel Macron’s plane arrived at 4:02 p.m. WITA, and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s plane arrived at 11:30 p.m. WITA which was the last VVIP plane to land on Monday.

“In the meantime, on Tuesday (15/11/2022), it was reported that there had been a number of arrivals of VVIP aircraft and state guests, including World Bank President David Malpass who arrived at 00:34 WITA, FIFA President Gianni Infantino who arrived at 05:06 WITA, and the plane of Crown Prince/Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman, who arrived at 06:59 WITA”, said Adita through an official statement, Monday 11/15/2022.

Monday (11/14/2022) is the highest peak for the arrival of VVIP aircraft, both state and scheduled international. However, arrangements between VVIP and scheduled flights can still work well.

Adita explained that scheduled domestic and international flights at Ngurah Rai Airport are going relatively smoothly according to the predetermined flight slots.

On Monday, there were 130 slots available for scheduled domestic flights with a capacity of 21,817 seats or 57% of the normal period (230 slots with a capacity of 39,221 seats).

At the same time, for international flights, 122 slots are available with a capacity of 39,588 seats, which is 77% of the normal period (159 slots with a capacity of 38,040 seats).

On Monday, Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi also welcomed the arrival of a number of state guests, namely Brazil’s Foreign Minister Carlos Alberto Franco França, Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen , the Prime Minister of Italy, Mrs . Giorgia Meloni, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Suriname, Albert E. Ramdi.

Meanwhile, the on-time performance/on-time performance (OTP) level for domestic flights reached 68.78%.

“Regarding regular flight delays, we have been coordinating intensively with airport managers and airlines, to prepare for the management of flight service users, such as delay/delay compensation, claims schedule change for the management of airline ticket refunds,” he said.
