Jokowi, as the main coordinator of the dialogue, said this in front of the leaders of the ASEAN countries and the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
“I convey three important things to achieve in this ASEAN-US partnership, namely regional peace and stability, regional and global resilience, and a sustainable future,” Jokowi explained on his Twitter account @jokowi on Sunday (13 /11).
In addition, Jokowi said ASEAN and US leaders have pledged to produce various mutually beneficial agreements. He said ASEAN and the United States want to create a comprehensive partnership.
The former mayor of Solo said ASEAN and US efforts were a response to the current global situation. According to him, solid cooperation between nations is able to survive the difficult times of the world.
“This summit also launched the ASEAN-US comprehensive strategic partnership as part of the solution to the global situation which faces extraordinary challenges,” Jokowi said.
As we know, Jokowi has various strategic agendas at the ASEAN summit in Cambodia this time around.
Jokowi also held various bilateral meetings with various Heads of State.
In addition, Jokowi has also chaired various ASEAN meetings with ASEAN partner countries, such as China. United States, Canada. It is also preparing Indonesia’s presidency for the next ASEAN summit.
