Twitter Blue with verification is available in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK starting Saturday.

Elon Musk also confirmed in a tweet that the service will eventually open in other countries.

“As soon as we confirm it works well in the initial countries and have completed the translation work, it will be rolled out globally,” he wrote in response to an expansion request from Twitter Blue. internationally.

Musk’s decision to ask users to pay for verification has drawn criticism.
