Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono said the Navy has prepared 12 Republic of Indonesia (KRI) warships to secure the G20 Summit (KTT) in Bali, on November 15 and 16, 2022.

According to Yudo, the 12 Indonesian Navy warships will be stationed within a 12-mile radius in the waters off and around Bali.
“Then we will layer it on the outside with a larger ship. Of course, this will protect us against events that could go wrong on the high seas and in the EEZ (exclusive economic zone),” he said. .
In addition to warships, the number of personnel deployed is around 3,000, including the KRI crew and several units, such as Lantamal V Surabaya, Lanal Banyuwangi, Lanal Denpasar, Marines and other combined elements of Koarmada I, II and III.
“Including the planes, all the KRI fighters who have helicopters, I ordered them to bring all the helicopters so that they can be integrated, then there are special forces from Denjaka and Kopaska who are ‘on board’ in the KRI,” Yudo said.

G20 members are South Africa, United States, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Russia, France, China, Turkey and the European Union.

To secure the G20 summit, the national police deployed 8,000 joint personnel from the national police headquarters, Bali police and the nearest regional police like West Java police, NTB police and East Java Police.
The two-star general explained that ahead of the G20 summit (November 14-15), the national police carried out Operation Puri Agung from November 7-18.
Five security clusters are involved. The first cluster in Seminyak was secured by 297 people. The Jimbaran cluster was secured by 257 people, the Sanur C cluster was secured by 82 people, the North Nusa Dua cluster 187 people and the South Nusa Dua cluster 213 people.
“All the staff involved specifically in the cluster is 1,038 people,” he said.
Next, airport security is divided into Ring I Paspampres, Ring II Paskas Air Base, and Ring III Kodam and Bali Police.
“The total staff involved in security at the airport is 340 people,” he said.
