Police say number of suspects in Kanjuruhan tragedy may rise, PSSI president still missing

TRIBUN-BALI.COM – The police mention the number of suspects in The Tragedy of Kanjuruhan could increase.

It’s been almost a month now The Tragedy of Kanjuruhan which claimed the lives of more than 130 people.

So far, the police have named 6 suspects.

The investigation by the East Java Regional Police opens up the possibility of additional new suspects in the case of the Kanjuruhan stadium tragedy that killed 135 people.

The investigation into Indonesia’s deadliest football disaster did not stop at the six suspects.

As is known, the national police chief named six suspects in advance after the case The Tragedy of Kanjuruhan which exceeds.

The six are PT LIB chairman and director Ahmad Hadian Lukita, Suko Sutrisno and Abdul Harris of the Arema FC Panpel, and two police officers who allegedly ordered the tear gas fired.

“The investigations are dynamic, and then the investigators are now exploring other legal matters,” said East Java Police Public Relations Chief Dirmanto, as quoted by Kompas.com’s BolaSport.com.

“As for what’s delivered, we’ll just have to wait,” he added.

This time, the East Java Police Ditreskrimum interviewed 15 additional witnesses on Thursday (27/10/2022).

The 15 witnesses came from the Panpel, stewards, members of PSSI, PT LIB and the management of Arema FC.

Some of them are Arema FC President Gilang Widya Pramana and PT LIB Operations Director Sudjarno.

However, PSSI General President Mochamad Iriawan is still out for a second review due to a busy agenda with FIFA.

A re-examination of Mochamad Iriawan will take place on November 3.
