Bisnis.comJAKARTA – The World Health Organization (WHO) represents monkeypox or monkey pox confirmed in 75 countries.

Previously, on July 23, 2022, the WHO declared monkeypox a global health emergency. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said many countries were the first to record cases of monkeypox.

“We have an epidemic that has spread rapidly around the world, by means of transmission new, which we understand very little,” said Ghebreyesus, quoted on the official WHO website, on Wednesday (27/7/2022).

He said the monkeypox outbreak should be of international concern. Additionally, the monkeypox outbreak meets the criteria for a public health emergency under international health regulations.
