During a Wednesday night press conference in Los Angeles, Calif., ONE Championship and Amazon Prime Video Sports announced that their long-term partnership will begin with ONE Fight Night 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II on August 26 US time
Additionally, the two organizations have confirmed the next four dates for ONE’s next Prime Video event – September 30, October 21, November 18, and December 2 – all of which will air during North American prime time.
ONE Championship Vice President and ONE Warrior Series CEO Rich Franklin has announced the ONE Flyweight World Championship rematch between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson as the perfect match to kick off this partnership.
Speaking from The Novo in Los Angeles, Franklin confirmed:
“It will be a game [besar] between these two men. I’m really looking forward to it, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the variety of events that we will continue to present throughout the year.”
Marie Donoghue, Vice President of Global Sports Video, Amazon, echoed the same sentiment, expressing her joy at working with the largest martial arts organization in the world.

“It’s a very exciting time for us on Prime Video, with ONE premiering live in August.”

Also present at the press conference were Moraes, Johnson, ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn, No. 1 Muay Thai flyweight challenger Jonathan Haggerty, former champion of the bi-sport world ONE Stamp Fairtex, multiple MMA world champion Eddie Alvarez and BJJ superstars: Danielle Kelly, Mikey Musumeci and Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida.
In conclusion, Season 1 of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” will also soon be available exclusively on Prime Video for the United States and Canada.
Moraes and Johnson set for rematch at ONE Fight Night 1
ONE Fight Night 1 will feature a rematch between two of flyweight’s top superstars, when reigning leader Adriano Moraes takes on No. 1 challenger Demetrious Johnson at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on August 27.
Johnson was hoping for a different outcome this time around as his first outing with the Brazilian at ONE X earned him the first knockout loss of his career.
Johnson says:
“You know, it feels good. This is Platform It’s great where I’ve been and I had the chance against Adriano Moraes, who is an incredible athlete. We trained very hard and we were hoping for this victory. I’m excited.”
Meanwhile, Moraes is eyeing another big finish against the MMA ‘GOAT’ to secure his status as one of the best in the discipline.
