100 countries participate in the World Beach Games Bali 2023

A total of 1,554 athletes from over 100 countries will compete in the 2023 World Beach Games in Bali from August 5-12, 2023.

The 2nd championship will compete in 14 water and beach sports, around Nusa Dua, Kuta and Jimbaran, Badung Regency.

According to Raja Sapta Oktohari, the World Beach Games were actually born in Bali in 2008 and were still at the level of the Asian Beach Games at the time. Well, for next year, the scope is certainly broader by involving over 100 participating countries. Thus, this activity must return to Bali as the host of the event.

According to Raja Sapta Oktohari, Indonesia as host was decided last June. All of this cannot be separated from the support of President Joko Widodo, who has a great interest in sports, asking him to bring as many world-level sports championships to Indonesia as possible.

“It is a very good opportunity, we are able and ready to welcome athletes from all over the world, in particular the world’s top sports leaders will also be present”, explained Raja Sapta Oktohari.

For him, the implementation and the realization must be able to place Indonesia in a place of honor. Moreover, the World Beach Games 2023 is also coupled with the 78th Indonesian celebration in August 2023.

“The plan is that they will start arriving on August 3, 2023 and leave Bali on August 14, 2022. Meanwhile, the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare of the Provincial Government of Bali, I Gede Indra Dewa Putra, stressed that this is a world-class event, of course the government provincial of Bali is very supportive and appreciates KOI.
